Bored or falling out of love with training.

Getting bored of types of training and certain routines is fairly common. In my opinion, it's probably one of the bigger reasons that so many people stop training or working towards their goals of getting fitter, stronger or losing some body fat. So what can you do?

  1. Set a new goal and be self aware: Maybe your goal isn't exciting enough or not something that you really want. Maybe you don't really want or need to lose weight but you feel like you have to after scrolling through social media and seeing so many influencers with super low body fat percentages. Self-awareness is super important. Maybe you actually want to get stronger or run further or faster. Either way, set a goal that you truly want to reach.

  2. Try a new type of training: As long as the training allows you to reach your desired goal, why not give something new a go. Maybe you want to get stronger, rather than powerlifting, why not get into olympic weightlifting. You'll gain strength, just for different movements. This way you can also work out what you enjoy more. Maybe you're just trying to improve your anaerobic and aerobic capacity. Rather than sit on a bike for 30-40 minutes, why not give crossfit or circuit training a go. There's many way to train.

Hopefully, these two tips will help with getting you back to enjoying training.
